China Kennissessie: Decoding the China Dictionary
China kennissessie rond het verschijnen van het Zweedse rapport “The Decoding China Dictionary” van het Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law met een van de auteurs, Malin Oud, en twee Nederlandse diplomaten, Mark Zellenrath (Plv PV VN New York) en Remy Christini (DAO). Moderatie door Lily Sprangers.

Begin maart 2021 publiceerde het Zweedse Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law het rapport “The Decoding China Dictionary” dat antwoord geeft op al deze vragen. Het document is geschreven door een groep China-specialisten en biedt een overzicht van 14 termen die vaak worden gebruikt in het diplomatieke verkeer met China, maar die in China een heel andere betekenis hebben dan in liberale democratieën.
In aanloop naar de China Kennissessie van 8 maart interviewde Lily Sprangers een van de auteurs van het rapport: Malin Oud (Raoul Wallenberg Institute).

The aim of the LeidenAsiaCentre is to generate academic knowledge on modern East Asia that can find societal applications in the Netherlands.
