Invloed en inmenging van de Volksrepubliek China onder de Chinese bevolking in Nederland
Het LeidenAsiaCentre onderzocht in opdracht van de ministeries van Justitie en Veiligheid, – Buitenlandse Zaken en – Defensie hoe groot de invloed en inmenging van China onder de Chinese bevolking in Nederland is. Het onderzoek is geleid door prof. Frank Pieke (Universiteit Leiden/LeidenAsiaCentre).
Een eerder onderzoek van het LeidenAsiaCentre uit 2021 concludeerde al dat de voorwaarden en infrastructuur van Chinese beïnvloeding onder de Chinese bevolking in Nederland aanwezig zijn. Nu is onderzocht of er sprake is van inmenging en hoe kwetsbaar de Chinese bevolking is voor beïnvloeding.

LeidenAsiaCentre
The aim of the LeidenAsiaCentre is to generate academic knowledge on modern East Asia that can find societal applications in the Netherlands. The LeidenAsiaCentre focuses primarily on East Asia: China (including Taiwan), Japan, Korea and Singapore, but is expanding its focus to include South and Southeast Asia, notably India and the Indo-Pacific. As an independent NGO by Dutch law, the LeidenAsiaCentre identifies topics related to social-economic and political developments within Asia that are of relevance for the Netherlands and Europe at large.
